Since 1984 to Present

After the passing of Chairman Cho Hong-je in 1984, Chairman Cho Suk-rae took over and continued the growth and prosperity in line with Chairman Cho Hong-je's vision. Following the relocation of Dongyang Technical High School in 1999, the campus gradually expanded to its current size. In 2010, the school changed its name to "Dongyang Future College," and in 2012 to "Dongyang Future University." Keeping pace with the times, new departments related to advanced technology, design, management, and other fields were established. The university also ran numerous programs, including international exchanges and local government cooperation. From 2010, it ranked first in employment rates among the top group of colleges in the Seoul metropolitan area for three consecutive years. In 2014, it received the Ministry of Education's accreditation for educational quality. In 2020, it received an A grade in the first annual evaluation of the Innovation Support Program for Technical Colleges. In 2021, it ranked first in the national employment rate for graduates, and in 2022, it achieved the highest S grade in the annual evaluation of the Maker Space Construction and Operation Project by the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups. In 2024, it was selected for the Entrepreneurship Education Innovation Leading University Project, solidifying its position as a prestigious technical university.

Dongyang Future University continues to grow and is unwavering in its efforts. To lead the changes of the digital and AI era, the university has started a major organizational restructuring in 2024, marking the beginning of a new transformation. In January 2025, the university will announce a new vision and thoroughly prepare for how it will cultivate future talent as leaders in this new era. Dongyang Future University, which is dedicated to creating a happy future for students, faculty, and staff, believes that with its unique traditions and innovations, it will continue to produce proud professionals who the world needs.
