Issuance of alien registration card
- You must register as an foreigner at your local immigration office within 90 days of arrival. The alien registration card is very important because it becomes your ID card while living in Korea.
- The required documents are as follows.
If you don't register as a foreigner, you'll be fined from a minimum of 200,000 won to a maximum of 10 million won depending on the period of violation.

- You must check the expiration period of your visa marked on your alien registration card, make a reservation at the immigration office in advance, and extend it.

- 1) Standard admission letter (Preparation for Center for International Affairs)

- 3) A copy of one's passport and an alien registration card
- 4) 1 passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months
- 5) Previous school attendance certificate (per Korean language school attended)
- 6) Transcripts from your previous school (per Korean language school attended)
- 7) TOPIK Transcripts(Level 3 or above)
- 8) Notarized documents proving final academic ability (graduation certificate and transcript of international student country)
- 9) Bank account re-verification document of 20,000,000 won or more within one month of the person's name issued by the bank)

- 11) Family relationship certificate
- 12) Bank account transaction statement (6 months)
- 13) Certificate of residence document (if you do not sign the residence contract under your name, a certificate of residence is required)

- 6) Re-verification documents issued by the bank in your name within one month (10,000,000 won or more)
- 7) Foreign remittance certificates and bank statements (6 months)
- 8) Family relationship certificate
- 9) Certificate of residence document (if you do not sign the residence contract under your name, a certificate of residence is required)

- Subject to part-time employment
- A person who is a language student (D-4) and a college student (D-2) who has entered Korea for at least six months and has been confirmed by the coordinator of the university
- Qualifications and standards for application
- International student (D-2): 1 year maximum during stay, limited to 2 places
- As of the date of application, those with an average grade of 2.0 or higher in the previous semester and a TOPIK level 3 or higher in Korean proficiency
- Language student (D-4): Maximum 6 months of stay, limited to one place
- (Minimum attendance) Those who have an average attendance rate of 90% or more in the entire semester and a TOPIK level 2 or higher in Korean proficiency
- International student (D-2): 1 year maximum during stay, limited to 2 places
- Working hours
- Language student (D-4) within 20 hours per week
- It is within 20 hours per week, including both holidays and vacations during the semester, and 10 hours per week for TOPIK level 2 and below
- International students (D-2) within 20 hours per week
- Holidays during the semester are 20 hours per week, unlimited during vacation, and 10 hours per week for those under TOPIK level 3
- Language student (D-4) within 20 hours per week

In case of violation of stay-related regulations
Foreign students who violate the stay-related regulations may be subject to the following punishments.
- Violation of alien registration
- Penalties from a minimum of 200,000 won to a maximum of 10 million won depending on the period of violation
- Violation of permission to extend the period of stay and change qualifications
- Penalties ranging from a minimum of 100,000 won to a maximum of 20 million won depending on the period of violation
- Violation of part-time work permit conditions
- Cancellation of study abroad status after notification disposition
- Violation of notification of change of place of stay
- Penalties of at least 100,000 won to 1,000,000 won depending on the period of violation
- Violation of registration change report
- Penalties of at least 100,000 won to 1,000,000 won depending on the period of violation
- A person who leaves without permission during study or language training
- Rescission of visa permission after investigation and forced eviction depending on the case
