All international students are required to have medical insurance for the duration of their studies at Dongyang Mirae University. There are three types of insurance: insurance from your home country (which provides medical benefits in Korea), National Health Insurance, and international student insurance from a domestic accident insurance company.

National health insurance
- From March 2021, if you stay in Korea for more than 3 months, you will automatically subscribe to the National Health Insurance based on your place of stay, and it is an insurance that receives the same benefits as Koreans.

International student insurance by domestic accident insurance companies
- It is a short-term international student insurance that students of the Korean Language Institute subscribe to until they enter the national health insurance after entering the country.
- It is insurance for international students, and you can benefit from medical expenses (hospital expenses, drug expenses, etc.).
- It's a document you need to extend your visa, so you must sign up.
- Documents required for insurance claims
- Insurance claims (with an Center for International Affairs)
- Bankbook, alien registration card
- Receipts for medical bills and medication
In some cases, Insurance company may ask for additional documentation.
